As a Youth Program Staff member, you will lead and supervise children in a variety of youth programs and events, ensuring their safety while fostering confidence, teamwork, and personal growth.
In this role, you will build positive, lasting relationships with children and establish strong partnerships with parents and caregivers through open communication and exceptional customer service. You will actively encourage participation, create meaningful peer connections, and adapt activities to ensure every child feels welcomed, included, and supported.
Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and actively engage children in youth programs, activities, and events.

Create a safe, positive, and inclusive environment where all participants can succeed.

Build strong relationships with children, parents, and caregivers through friendly and professional communication.

Lead games, activities, and skill-building experiences that promote teamwork, confidence, and healthy lifestyles.

Encourage positive behavior while serving as a role model for YMCA values.

Facilitate peer-to-peer interactions that help children develop friendships and social skills.

Respond appropriately to participant needs and maintain a safe environment by following YMCA policies and procedures.

Work collaboratively with fellow staff to deliver high-quality programs and memorable experiences for every participant.

At least 15 years old

6 months experience working with youth
Within 30 days of hire:

CPR/FA Certification for Adult, Child and Infant
