Description:
Our client is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead and oversee all quality functions within a manufacturing environment. This individual will be responsible for maintaining and improving quality systems, driving continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring compliance with automotive quality standards, and serving as the primary point of contact for customer and supplier quality concerns. This is a leadership role that combines hands-on quality management with team development and cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities/Skills:

Lead the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of quality management systems, ensuring compliance with IATF 16949 and other applicable industry standards.

Manage customer and supplier quality concerns, lead root cause investigations, corrective actions, and support APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, and other quality documentation.

Oversee internal audits, layered process audits, document control, customer scorecards, and quality reporting while driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Lead and develop the quality team by setting departmental objectives, conducting performance evaluations, mentoring staff, and ensuring accountability.

Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and launch teams to resolve production and launch quality issues while serving as the voice of the customer.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Quality, or a related field.

5+ years of experience in automotive quality with strong knowledge of IATF 16949, AIAG Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, MSA/Gage R&R), and customer quality requirements.

Experience utilizing structured problem-solving methodologies such as 8D, 5 Why, Root Cause Analysis, or A3/A4.

Strong understanding of GD&T, tolerance stack-up analysis, and manufacturing quality processes.

Proven leadership experience with excellent communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
