JOB
Under the direction of the Recreation Supervisor, Recreation Program Specialist or Recreation Leader 2, this seasonal position helps conduct indoor and/or outdoor activities ensuring activities are safe, proper and appropriate. This position also is responsible for helping to maintain equipment and grounds. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES Help lead indoor and/or outdoor recreational activities including special events, playground activities and camps.

Assist participants in appropriate recreational activities (i.e. arts and crafts, field trips, sports) and a variety of recreational activities and educational programs.

Maintain a variety of records and help write periodic reports.

Maintain program equipment in good working order. Ensure facility and grounds are kept neat, clean and litter free. Perform custodial and light maintenance duties.

Provide information to the public concerning recreation programs, policies, regulations and schedules; answer participant inquiries in person and over the telephone.

Render routine First Aid in case of minor injury and administer CPR as needed.

Perform related duties as assigned.

SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
- Valid adult and child CPR and First Aid Certificates preferred. Ability to obtain within thirty (30) days of hire required.
