As a Life Skills Professional, you will:
-
Support individuals in developing and maintaining independent living skills.
-
Assist participants with daily activities including cooking, shopping, budgeting, banking, transportation, housekeeping, and meal preparation.
-
Help individuals pursue educational, vocational, and employment opportunities.
-
Assess participant strengths and learning styles to support individualized skill development.
-
Model positive social skills and healthy interpersonal relationships.
-
Support participation in community, recreational, social, and cultural activities.
-
Complete required documentation, including daily notes, medication records, mileage logs, and incident reports.
-
Monitor or administer medications as prescribed following required training.
-
Operate agency vehicles in accordance with agency policies and procedures.
-
Attend supervision, staff meetings, trainings, and clinical meetings as required.
-
Help maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment.

High School Diploma or GED.
-
Minimum of two years of experience in the social services field.

Valid Driver's License.
-
Ability to complete required trainings, including medication administration/monitoring and CPR/First Aid.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
-
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
-
Experience working with individuals with behavioral health, intellectual/developmental disabilities, or other human services populations.
-
Knowledge of person-centered and recovery-oriented practices.
-
Experience supporting individuals in community-based settings.

Evening, weekend, and holiday hours may be required

Community-based and residential settings

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Ability to stand, sit, walk, climb stairs, bend, kneel, crouch, and reach frequently.

Ability to push, pull, and perform repetitive movements.

Ability to safely assist participants and transport individuals as needed.

Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
