HEP Construction is seeking a detail-oriented Journeyman Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various aspects of construction, including rough and finish carpentry, installing flooring, drywall installation and finishing and millwork. Completion of a formal apprenticeship program would be ideal. The Journeyman Carpenter will be responsible for transforming residential and commercial spaces, ensuring high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
Duties
- Rough and finish carpentry
- Frame structural and non-structural walls
- Engage in concrete forming for foundations, patios, and other structural elements
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining quality standards.
- Install, repair, and finish drywall
- Install and repair tile and other types of flooring.
Requirements
- At least 6 years’ direct, progressive experience in the construction industry is essential
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and prints accurately
- Ability to follow the scope of work provided to completion
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality work
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Physical stamina as the role requires lifting heavy materials and standing for extended periods
- Completion of a formal apprenticeship program preferred
A clean driving record, and drug screening, and background check are required.
