Elmhurst Care Center is seeking full time recreation leaders to become a part of our team! We are a well-established positive, cohesive management team who strive to support one another and our staff, while working to achieve excellent care and service for our residents.
The ideal candidate for this position must have excellent communication skills and true passion to work with the geriatric population.
Job Requirements:
- Assists in the coordination, direction and delivery of wellness and recreation programs to meet the needs of our residents.
- Knowledge of Federal and State mandated documentation including assessment and care planning for leisure needs.
- Providing hands-on involvement in programs during residents' schedule times.
- Supporting the Recreation Director in exploring opportunities for residents emotional, physical, social and intellectual engagement.
Qualifications:
- Experience working with the Dementia population
- Strong Arts skills
- Long Term Care experience a plus
- Positive attitude, creative and energetic
- Bilingual is a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
