LowCarb Avenue is a family-owned, start-up commercial bakery specializing in artisan, low-carb breads and baked goods. We are looking for an experienced, reliable, and hardworking baker to join our growing team.
This role is ideal for someone who has hands-on bakery experience, especially with breads, sourdough, mixing, shaping, proofing, baking, and working in a fast-paced production environment. We are looking for someone who wants to grow with our company long-term and become part of a strong, dependable bakery team.
Responsibilities include:
- Mixing, shaping, proofing, and baking various bakery products
- Working with sourdough, bread doughs, and other artisan bakery items
- Operating or working around commercial bakery equipment, including large ovens, mixers, proofers, racks, and other machinery
- Following recipes, production schedules, and food safety procedures carefully
- Keeping the bakery clean, organized, and production-ready
- Working efficiently under pressure during busy production hours
- Communicating clearly with team members and management
- Arriving on time and being dependable for scheduled shifts
Requirements:
- Previous bakery experience preferred, especially with breads and/or sourdough
- Fluent in English and able to clearly communicate with the team
- Must be able to reliably commute to Frederick, Maryland
- Comfortable working night shifts, early morning shifts, and weekends as needed
- Able to lift 50+ lb bags of flour and other bakery ingredients
- Comfortable working around heavier commercial bakery machinery, including large mixers and ovens
- Strong attention to detail and ability to stay alert in a busy production environment
- Organized, clean, and able to follow instructions carefully
- Able to work well with a team and remain calm under pressure
- Prompt, punctual, and reliable
- Interested in a long-term position with a growing company

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
