Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Expeditor to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The Expeditor will play a crucial role in ensuring that our guests receive their orders promptly and accurately, contributing to an exceptional dining experience. This position requires strong communication skills and a passion for customer service, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house staff. Scheduled Friday-Sunday, with Thursday shifts available during high season.
Duties
- Deliver food from the kitchen to guests in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are met.
- Coordinating orders between kitchen and service staff
- Ensuring dishes are complete and beautifully presented before leaving the line
- Communicating clearly and efficiently with both front and back of house teams
- Maintaining a clean and organized expo station
- Assist servers by providing support during busy service periods, including refilling drinks and clearing tables.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including bussing tables and resetting for new guests.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff regarding order status and any special requests from guests.
- Ensure adherence to food safety standards during food handling and delivery.
Skills
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations.
- Familiarity with POS systems is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on guest satisfaction.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with guests and team members.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Culinary experience or knowledge of cooking techniques is beneficial but not required.
- A background in hospitality or hotel services can enhance your application.
Compensation
$12.15/hr plus tips
