Responsibilities
- Assist loan officers in preparing and processing mortgage applications, including Conventional, FHA (Federal Housing Administration), VA (Veterans Affairs), and other loan types
- Gather and verify borrower documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness for loan processing and underwriting
- Support compliance with all loan regulations, including Fair Housing laws and banking regulatory standards
Experience
- Prior experience in loan officer support or a similar role within the financial services or banking industry is highly preferred but not required
- Knowledge of FNMA guidelines, mortgage servicing, underwriting processes, and industry-specific regulations such as TILA and TRID compliance
- Familiarity with mortgage products including conventional loans, FHA loans, VA loans, and industry-standard contracts
- Strong understanding of banking regulatory compliance requirements related to mortgage lending
- Proficiency in basic math skills
- Excellent organizational skills combined with attention to detail to ensure precise documentation and processing
