Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our medical staff and ensuring the smooth operation of our facility. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for assisting with patient care in various settings, including urgent care, dermatology, and hospital medicine.
Duties
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
- Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs and medical histories.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by physicians.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and assist with X-Ray procedures.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment.
- Provide education to patients regarding their treatment plans and follow-up care.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and emergency medicine is essential.
- Familiarity with inpatient care processes and urgent care protocols is advantageous.
- Experience in dermatology or hospital medicine settings is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team are required.
- A commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in healthcare is essential.
