Instructional Aide Substitutes are needed to serve students in local schools, providing vital classroom support on a flexible, as-needed (per diem) basis. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver 1:1 or small-group assistance as directed by instructional staff
- Support students with academic, behavioral, and social tasks during the school day
- Assist with daily routines, class transitions, and classroom engagement
- Implement behavior intervention strategies and follow IEPs
- Promote positive behavior and ensure a safe, inclusive atmosphere
- Help with mobility, supervision, and personal care as needed
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Able to meet TB test requirements per district policy
- Capable of standing, walking, and assisting with lifting
- Current school clearances, or willingness to obtain before starting
Preferred Experience:
- Background working in schools, behavioral health, special education, or childcare
- Familiarity supporting students with special needs or behavioral challenges
- CPI, PMT, or RBT experience is advantageous, though not required
- Patience, reliability, and a collaborative mindset
