Instructional Aide Subs are needed to help empower student success in school settings. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide academic, behavioral, and social support to students during classroom activities
- Work one-on-one or with small groups, as directed by teachers and staff
- Assist with daily classroom routines, transitions, and encourage full participation
- Implement behavior support strategies and follow student IEPs where applicable
- Aid with supervision, mobility, and personal care, maintaining dignity and respect
- Foster a welcoming, inclusive, and safe learning environment
Essential Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 18 years old
- Current TB test per district standards
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting when necessary
- Willingness to secure school-required clearances before starting
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in education, special education, behavioral health, or child care
- Experience supporting children with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
- CPI, PMT, or RBT certification (not required, but a plus)
- Reliable, patient, and collaborative approach
