We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Civil Litigation Attorney to join our legal team. In this role, you will handle a diverse caseload across various areas of civil law, providing expert legal counsel, advocating for clients, and managing all phases of litigation. Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of civil litigation cases, including case evaluation, strategy development, and trial preparation.
- Conduct comprehensive legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case arguments and stay current on relevant statutes and case law.
- Draft and review legal documents including pleadings, motions, contracts, settlement agreements, and discovery requests.
- Represent clients in court depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials with strong legal advocacy skills.
- Negotiate settlements effectively while maintaining client interests and fostering positive relationships.
- Maintain meticulous case management records, ensuring all documentation complies with procedural law requirements.
- Communicate clearly with clients regarding case progress, legal options, and settlement opportunities to ensure transparency and trust.
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of general & commercial litigation procedures along with specialized areas such as employment law, personal injury law, estate planning, family law, environmental law, immigration law, landlord-tenant law, securities law, workers' compensation law, tribal law & regulations, patent law, and statutory legal research.
- Proven experience in court depositions, trial preparation, legal motion drafting, and courtroom advocacy.
- Strong research skills utilizing LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case development.
- Excellent negotiation abilities combined with effective client communication skills.
- Ability to draft precise legal documents including contracts and pleadings while demonstrating meticulous attention to detail.
- Familiarity with legal case management systems and administrative processes within a law office setting.
- Knowledge of procedural laws governing litigation processes across multiple jurisdictions.
- Demonstrated ability to handle complex personal injury cases and employment law matters confidently.
