Job Summary
Reporting to the Director of Quality, the Quality Control Supervisor is responsible for ensuring compliance with Quality Policies, Good Manufacturing Practices, Standard Operating Procedures, Regulatory Guidelines and drive continuous improvement initiatives throughout the organization. This role has high visibility to our operations, manufacturing, and supply chain/fulfillment team. This role is responsible for enforcing facility-wide quality compliance and initiatives.
Essential Job Functions
- Monitor, maintain, and enforce quality control of production, documentation and labeling.
- Develop a high performance, quality-minded team through feedback, coaching, training, mentoring, and support.
- Communicate and coordinate with Quality Unit and upper manager regarding deviations and unanticipated occurrences.
- Create an atmosphere of professionalism, orderliness, and cleanliness.
- Review production paperwork on the production floor to ensure quality.
- Work with other members of the Quality Unit (i.e. Document Control Team, Label Team).
- Ensure and enforce compliance with all applicable legal regulations.
- Participate in quality related audits, both internal and by third parties.
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of all regulations and cGMP process requirements.
- Demonstrate leadership through a commitment to communication, work habits and be fully competent in all aspects of a wide variety of processes including maintaining safety, troubleshooting/problem solving, decision making, core behaviors, quality appraisals, sampling plans, manufacturing audits/process audits, statistical techniques, production control systems, manufacturing document review, test equipment and training
- Directly oversee and supervise Quality Control Technicians (or equivalent) to ensure they stay on task, keep on schedule, and perform job functions according to SOPs and regulations.
- Perform quality control tasks as needed to support and supplement the efforts of the Quality Control Technicians.
Qualifications
Knowledge
- Training certificates – cGMP training or equivalent
- Technical and Quality aptitude to understand all areas of operations, manufacturing, and quality
- Quality related work experience – 3+ years in cGMP related industry with quality experience
- Employee training as it relates to employment and work position
- Experience managing or supervising a team (preferred)
Skills/Abilities
- Basic computer skills
- Legible handwriting
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to be able to communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization
- Able to be assertive as needed to enforce quality standards
- Have knowledge and grasp of all regulatory standards as they pertain to the job
- Outstanding leadership skills; ability to motivate, train, develop, and evaluate subordinates
- Complete fluency in English
- Fluency in Spanish preferred

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
