Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Pay Rate: Starting at $25/hr., based on experience
Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a broad range of construction and maintenance skills, a strong problem-solving mindset, and the ability to handle a variety of repair and upkeep tasks. This role requires both technical expertise and administrative competence, as the Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining equipment, facilities, and grounds to ensure a safe, efficient, and well-kept environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect and maintain the building, grounds, and equipment.
- Perform necessary repairs, including carpentry, painting, masonry, plumbing, roofing, and welding.
- Install equipment and appliances as needed, adhering to local and state building codes.
- Ensure compliance with all company safety regulations.
- Maintain maintenance logs and write shift reports.
- Respond to maintenance and repair requests promptly.
- Load and unload equipment and tools into work vehicles if required.
- Follow written and verbal instructions from the maintenance manager or clients.
- Collaborate effectively with the maintenance team and external contractors as needed.
- Read and interpret manuals, blueprints, and other technical documents.
- Operate a variety of tools and equipment, including power, hand, electric, and plumbing tools.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience with construction skills, including carpentry, painting, masonry, plumbing, roofing, and welding.
- Advanced critical thinking and problem-solving skills for addressing maintenance issues.
- Strong administrative abilities, including record-keeping, scheduling, and supply ordering.
- Physical strength and dexterity to lift, move, and handle equipment as needed.
- Stamina to work for extended periods while standing or walking.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for discussing maintenance issues.
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions (hot or cold environments).
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Additional Information: This role reports to the Maintenance Manager and is expected to work both independently and as part of a team. The position may require some flexibility in working hours, including availability for emergency maintenance situations.
