Nurse Practitioner – Veteran Disability Exams Westminster, CO | Full-Time | $72–77/hr

We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) for a full-time opportunity performing Compensation & Pension (C&P) exams for Veterans in Westminster, CO.
Quick Highlights
- Full-time, Monday–Friday
- 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM
- $72–77/hour
- No treatment, prescribing, or on-call responsibilities
- 6–12 month contract with extension potential
- Training provided – prior VA/C&P experience not required
What You’ll Do
You will complete one-time disability evaluations for Veterans as part of the Veterans Benefits Administration program.
During each appointment, you will:
- Review the Veteran’s medical history in advance
- Perform guided exams using an easy web-based portal
- Document findings electronically
- Submit completed exam notes within 48 hours
You will not:
- Prescribe medications
- Create treatment plans
- Determine disability ratings
Your documentation is sent to the VA, where final claim decisions are made.
Types of Exams
Most exams involve:
- Musculoskeletal
- Cardiac
- Respiratory
Additional testing such as X-rays, labs, EKGs, pulmonary function tests, or ABIs may be ordered and completed nearby or onsite.

Qualifications
- Active NP license
- Master’s degree in Nursing or completion of an accredited NP program
- Primary care experience required
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Basic computer skills
VA or compensation exam experience is a plus, but not required. Paid training is provided.
