Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of damaged vehicles to assess extent of repairs needed, including auto body repair, framework, and mechanical components.
- Prepare detailed estimates using estimating software, clearly outlining parts, labor, and materials required for repairs.
- Collaborate with technicians to verify repair procedures and ensure estimates align with actual work needed.
- Communicate effectively with customers, insurance companies, and service advisors to explain estimates and repair options.
- Maintain accurate records of all estimates, repair orders, and customer interactions while ensuring transparency throughout the process.
Qualifications
- 2 to 3 years of Estimator experience is required.
- Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, mechanical systems, and automotive repair procedures including brake repair, shocks & struts, air brake systems, and suspension alignment.
- Familiarity with auto estimating software CCC and service writing processes.
- Experience in auto body repair or collision estimating is a must.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate complex technical information clearly.
