Job Summary – Deli Clerk
- Provide prompt and courteous service to the customers
- Cut delicatessen meats and cheeses to customer’s preference
- Weigh, wrap, code and price deli products accurately
- Replenish shelves, check for out-of-code items and rotate product
- Prepare party trays and arrange foods according to established guidelines
- Maintain a regular cleaning and sanitation program
- Maintain knowledge of all products sold in the department
- Good mathematic skills to operate scales & computers and to coordinate dates for inventory rotation.
Other assignments as directed by supervisor
Physical Demands:
- Stand on feet, bend forward, stoop or walk for the majority of the time on duty
- Work in freezer and/or cooler for short periods of time. Lift cases/containers of product
- Work safely around deli slicer machines and knives.
- Lift, push, and/or pull items up to 40 pounds.
- Ability to wear company-provided uniform, and maintain a clean and groomed appearance.
