Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Plasterer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience in applying plaster to various surfaces, ensuring a smooth and durable finish. This role requires a strong understanding of construction techniques and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. The Plasterer will be responsible for delivering high-quality workmanship on residential and commercial projects.
Duties
- Apply plaster to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces using hand tools and power tools.
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, caulking, and applying bonding agents as needed.
- Mix plaster materials according to specifications for optimal consistency and performance.
- Install metal stud framing and perform masonry tasks as required.
- Operate heavy equipment safely on construction sites when necessary
- Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure project timelines are met.
- Conduct quality checks on finished work to ensure adherence to standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following safety protocols at all times.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Plasterer or in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Proficiency in using power tools and heavy equipment related to plastering tasks.
- Familiarity with metal stud framing, masonry, welding, and construction estimating is preferred.
- Strong ability to read blueprints and understand construction site layouts.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in various weather conditions.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and other trades.
