PART TIME ROLE: willing & able to work in office approx. 20 hours per week
SCOPE: Assists attorney in all aspects of case management. Maintains communication with clients regularly. Provides clerical and research support services including document preparation and review; interviewing clients and witnesses; research, investigations, and fact checking.
JOB DUTIES:

Gather/analyze intake information & relevant documents associated with new files and enter into case management software to open a case

Initiate claims, verify coverage, maintain communication with insurance adjusters to provide case status updates.

Maintains regular communication with all clients

Prepare documents and correspondence such as letters of representation, demand letters, billing inquiries, etc.

Collect documentation of all damage sustained such as medical records, bills and loss of wages.

Assists in drafting legal documents including routine pleadings and motions, affidavits

Prepares, organizes, stores, and retrieves case files.

Develops and maintains Attorney calendar
QUALIFICATIONS:
-
2+ years of legal assistant experience required

Knowledge of personal injury a plus

Experience calendaring for supervisor in Outlook
-
Highly organized with attention to detail
