The CEO must not hold an active real estate license to avoid any conflicts of interest, yet it is preferred that they have a real estate background to offer valuable perspectives.
Summary/Objective:
REALTORS® of Central Colorado, (ROCC), is seeking an experienced, organized and community-minded leader to serve as its next Chief Executive Officer/Association Executive.
ROCC is a professional membership organization serving REALTORS® throughout Central Colorado. The CEO/AE works closely with the Board of Directors to guide the organization, support its members and oversee day-to-day operations.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can balance strategic thinking with practical execution. The successful candidate will be comfortable managing association operations, strengthening member relationships, coordinating programs and education, overseeing financial administration and representing ROCC within the real estate industry and the broader community.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Board of Directors to implement ROCC’s goals, policies and strategic priorities.
- Manage the association’s daily operations.
- Support member recruitment, engagement and retention.
- Identify and expand member benefits.
- Coordinate member communications and respond to member questions and concerns.
- Oversee new-member orientation and continuing education opportunities.
- Maintain strong working relationships with the National Association of REALTORS®, the Colorado Association of REALTORS® and other industry partners.
- Keep the Board and membership informed about relevant industry updates, requirements and opportunities.
- Coordinate programs, Board and Workgroup meetings and association events.
- Oversee communications, including email, newsletters, website content and social media.
- Manage administrative and financial responsibilities within the approved budget.
- Exercise Board-directed spending authority in accordance with the approved budget.
- Coordinate and oversee contractors, vendors and volunteers.
- Support member billing, reporting and organizational recordkeeping in coordination with the bookkeeper.
- Help implement efficient workflows and technology systems, including GrowthZone.
- Represent ROCC professionally within the community and the real estate industry.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience preferred but will train in association management, nonprofit leadership, real estate, business administration, membership organizations or a related field.
- Strong leadership and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with a volunteer Board of Directors.
- Experience with budgeting, financial oversight or bookkeeping coordination.
- Comfort using office software, digital communication tools and social media.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through on deadlines.
- Professional judgment, discretion and a commitment to member service.
Work Arrangement
- This is a full-time hybrid position that includes both remote and in-office work.
- The CEO/AE must also be available for Board meetings, member programs, educational events and community activities.
Compensation
The annual salary range is:
$50,000–$60,000 per year
Compensation will be based on experience, qualifications and demonstrated ability to lead and manage the association.
