Our 13-week Good Neighbor Program combines interactive in-person and virtual instruction to help residents strengthen life skills, improve self-sufficiency, and connect with valuable community resources.
We are seeking passionate, engaging, and community-focused Facilitators who are committed to empowering residents and creating meaningful change within the communities we serve.
Position Summary
The Good Neighbor Facilitator is responsible for delivering our structured 13-week curriculum to adult residents in affordable housing communities. Facilitators create a supportive, engaging learning environment while encouraging participation, personal growth, and accountability.
This role requires strong facilitation skills, experience working with diverse populations, and a genuine passion for helping individuals improve their quality of life.
The Onsite Facilitator will deliver classes in person at partner housing communities.
The Virtual Facilitator will facilitate live online classes and must reside in Ohio.
What You'll Do
- Facilitate weekly Resident Empowerment Program classes using Good Neighbor's approved curriculum.
- Lead engaging discussions, activities, role-playing exercises, and interactive learning experiences.
- Create a welcoming, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Build positive relationships with residents and encourage consistent participation.
- Adapt instruction to accommodate varying educational backgrounds, literacy levels, and learning styles.
- Reinforce practical life skills through real-world examples and group discussions.
- Track participant attendance, engagement, and completion.
- Complete weekly reports documenting participant progress and outcomes.
- Communicate resident concerns, barriers, and successes with program leadership.
- Collaborate with housing partners and program staff to ensure successful program delivery.
- Participate in facilitator training, planning meetings, and continuous program improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, Sociology, Communications, Public Administration, or a related field.
- Experience facilitating classes, workshops, training sessions, or adult learning programs.
- Experience working in social services, community development, housing, nonprofit organizations, workforce development, or resident services.
- Passion for improving the lives of residents and strengthening communities.
- Excellent public speaking and presentation skills.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building abilities.
- Ability to motivate and engage adult learners.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Experience using Microsoft Office and virtual meeting platforms such as Zoom or Microsoft Teams.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual (Spanish)
- Experience facilitating both in-person and virtual learning environments.
