Job Description
Position Summary
The PXT Manager is the People, Experience, and Technology leader of S3 Logistics and is directly accountable for the entire employee lifecycle — from talent acquisition and recruitment through onboarding, development, retention, engagement, and offboarding. This role owns payroll administration through ADP, drives performance management to ensure all Delivery Associates meet Fantastic Plus scorecard expectations, and creates an engaged, positive driver culture where team members show up, support the team, have a good attitude, and are reliable and safe.
The PXT Manager ensures S3 Logistics is an employer of choice in the Tyler/East Texas market by building a continuous talent pipeline, administering fair and compliant compensation practices, championing driver engagement through celebrations, events, and recognition programs, and maintaining full compliance with all federal, state, and Amazon program requirements.
Employee Lifecycle — Talent Acquisition & Recruitment

Maintain a continuous pipeline of 100+ candidates per week — pipeline never stops regardless of current headcount

Manage dual-platform recruiting strategy: SmartRecruiters

Optimize job postings using SmartRecruiters analytics and hiring insights for the Tyler/East Texas market

Centralize all applications; monitor apply rates, cost-per-applicant, and weekly candidate flow

Conduct resume reviews, phone screen candidates, and schedule final in-person interviews that integrate with onboarding for candidates who meet expectations

Screen and advance qualified candidates within 24 hours of application

Build and maintain S3 Logistics' employer brand as the employer of choice in Tyler/East Texas

Ensure all hiring decisions are made without regard to protected characteristics per EEO Policy

Ensure all candidates meet Amazon DSP 2.0 eligibility: age 21+, valid driver's license, ability to pass Amazon-approved background check and drug screening
Employee Lifecycle — Hiring & Onboarding

Conduct background checks and MVR checks through Amazon-approved vendor only per DSP 2.0 Program Agreement

Administer pre-employment drug screening (5-panel minimum: marijuana, cocaine, opiates, amphetamines, PCP) through Amazon-approved vendor

Extend offers promptly — in-person delivery is standard; at-will acknowledged in all offer letters

Verify DA eligibility: age 21+, valid TX license (Class C+), max 2 moving violations in 3 years, no DUI/DWI in 5 years

Complete I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification within 3 business days of start

Coordinate Amazon onboarding: Delivery Station orientation, Amazon safety modules, nursery rides (ride-along with experienced DA)

Coordinate DSP-specific onboarding: Smith System training, Tyler terrain training, culture orientation, policy acknowledgments, Netradyne/telematics orientation

Issue Amazon-branded uniforms and ID badges; ensure worn during all delivery operations

Ensure all required Amazon training modules completed before first independent route

Administer 90-day probationary assessment; communicate expectations clearly from day one

Maintain time-to-hire under 15 days from application to first route

Maintain always-ready bench of trained DAs for rapid scaling
Employee Lifecycle — Retention & Offboarding

Achieve and maintain 95% retention rate within first year

Develop and implement data-driven retention strategies based on satisfaction surveys, exit interview data, and turnover trends

Administer progressive discipline per Disciplinary Action Policy aligned with Amazon Tier 1/Tier 2 infraction system (verbal, written, final, termination)

Manage performance improvement plans (PIPs) for underperforming DAs with clear timelines and measurable expectations
-
Conduct exit interviews for all voluntary separations; identify and address patterns

Execute proper offboarding: Amazon system deactivation (Flex, Netradyne, station access), Amazon property return (devices, uniforms, badges), and DSP portal reporting within 24 hours

Maintain complete employee files per record retention requirements

Ensure final paycheck compliance with Texas labor law requirements
Payroll & Compensation Administration

Own and administer bi-weekly payroll processing through ADP Workforce Now for all S3 Logistics employees

Audit timecards daily in coordination with dispatchers to ensure accuracy — guaranteed 10-hour minimum per scheduled shift

Monitor and manage overtime to prevent burnout and ensure Texas labor law compliance

Process new hire setup, pay rate changes, terminations, and status changes in ADP

Administer benefits enrollment and changes: medical, dental, vision insurance

Coordinate workers' compensation claims and reporting

Manage Fantastic Plus bonus program calculations and transparent communication to all team members

Ensure compliance with FLSA, Texas Payday Law, and all wage/hour requirements

Generate payroll reports for Owner/CEO review; maintain payroll records per retention requirements

Manage garnishments, tax withholdings, and state/federal reporting through ADP
Performance Management & Scorecard
The PXT Manager is directly responsible for driving driver performance to achieve and sustain Fantastic Plus on the Amazon weekly scorecard. This is accomplished through consistent coaching, transparent communication, and a culture of accountability where every DA is expected to show up, support the team, have a good attitude, and be reliable and safe.

Own the Amazon weekly scorecard performance for the entire driver team — target: Fantastic Plus every week

Review scorecard results transparently with all team members; post results and celebrate wins

Coach DAs on all FICO score components: distraction, speeding, seatbelt, following distance, signal usage, hard braking, stop sign compliance

Monitor and improve key Amazon metrics: Delivery Completion Rate (DCR), Customer Delivery Feedback, Photo on Delivery (POD), DPMO, concessions rate, Customer Escalation Defect

Coach drivers directly on scorecard metrics, safety behaviors, and performance expectations through regular one-on-one conversations and feedback sessions

Manage Netradyne telematics data for coaching, recognition (Green Light events), and weekly safety reviews

Ensure individual DA compliance: zero Tier 1 infractions (distracted driving, speeding, seatbelt, unsafe backing, following distance, stop sign violations)

Track and manage attendance, reliability, and punctuality — DAs who don't show up, call out excessively, or demonstrate poor attitude are addressed immediately

Coach underperforming drivers with clear expectations and timelines; drivers who do not improve after PXT coaching are escalated to in-person coaching with the Operations Manager; continued failure to improve results in progressive counseling per S3 Logistics policy

Report all DA performance removals through Amazon DSP portal within 24 hours

Manage Tenured Workforce metric by developing long-term, committed team members

Investigate all harassment, discrimination, and workplace complaints promptly, thoroughly, and confidentially

Qualifications
Qualifications
Required

3+ years of Human Resources, People Operations, HR Management experience, or similar experience

2+ years high-volume recruiting experience (100+ hires annually)

Proven experience with ADP Workforce Now (payroll, HRIS, benefits administration)
