Position Title
In-Home Caregiver / Personal Care Assistant (PCA)
Job Summary
As an In-Home Caregiver, you will provide non-medical support and companionship to elderly clients in their homes. Caregivers play an essential role in ensuring clients remain safe, comfortable, and cared for while promoting independence and emotional well-being.
We are looking for team members who are compassionate, dependable, patient, professional, and able to communicate effectively with both clients and office staff.
Responsibilities & Duties
Caregiver responsibilities may include:
- Assisting clients with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Personal hygiene assistance including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting
- Meal preparation and assistance with feeding if needed
- Light housekeeping and laundry
- Medication reminders
- Mobility assistance and transfers
- Companionship and emotional support
- Transportation to appointments, errands, or activities
- Monitoring and reporting changes in client condition
- Maintaining a clean and safe environment for clients
- Accurate documentation and communication with office staff
Qualifications
Applicants should possess the following:
- Compassionate and caring attitude toward the elderly
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
- Ability to pass background check
- Strong communication and time-management skills
- Dependability and punctuality
- Ability to work independently and follow care plans
- Physically able to assist clients with mobility needs
- High school diploma or GED preferred
Preferred but Not Required:
- Previous caregiving, healthcare, or CNA experience
- CPR/First Aid Certification
- Experience with dementia or Alzheimer’s care
