Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our team in a fast-paced, fine dining environment. THIS IS NOT A SEASONAL POSITION. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional guest services, ensuring that each dining experience is memorable. You will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and organized dining area. This is not a summer job.
Duties
- Greet and welcome guests with a friendly demeanor.
- Take accurate food and drink orders using the Toast POS system.
- Provide detailed menu information and make recommendations to enhance the guest experience.
- Serve food and beverages promptly while ensuring presentation meets our high standards.
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their meal and address any concerns promptly.
- Assist with bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery.
- Handle payments accurately while managing basic math calculations for checks.
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, specials, and wine pairings to assist guests effectively.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a fine dining or upscale restaurant setting is required.
- Strong guest service skills with an emphasis on creating a welcoming atmosphere.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and checks efficiently.
- Familiarity with TOAST POS systems for order entry and payment processing.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy periods.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques is a plus but not required.
