About Built Right Builders
Built Right Builders & Contractors is a licensed general contracting firm specializing in custom homes and
high-end residential renovations throughout the Palm Beach and Boca Raton markets. We deliver luxury-tier
work for discerning clients, and we're growing. We're looking for a sharp, organized Assistant Project
Manager to support our project teams from preconstruction through closeout.
Position Summary
The Assistant Project Manager (APM) supports our Project Managers and ownership in running multiple
residential projects at once. This role blends estimating, budgeting, permitting, and field coordination. The
ideal candidate is detail-oriented, takes ownership of their work, and is ready to step up and lead when
called on.
What You'll Do
- Assist in preparing detailed project budgets, trade cost estimates, and takeoffs
- Prepare, submit, and execute building permit applications and track them through issuance
- Coordinate with subcontractors, designers, architects, and clients to keep projects on schedule
- Perform quantity takeoffs and drawing markups using Bluebeam
- Maintain project financials, schedules, and documentation in JobTread
- Manage inspection scheduling and compliance through permitting/inspection portals
- Build and maintain budgets, logs, and reports in Excel
- Use AI tools to improve estimating speed, document drafting, and overall efficiency
- Track change orders, submittals, RFIs, and project correspondence
- Support quality control and field coordination as needed
What You Bring
- Minimum 2 years of experience in residential construction project management or coordination
- Demonstrated experience in estimating and budgeting
- Leadership ability — capable of directing subcontractors and taking initiative
- Proficiency with Bluebeam, JobTread, Excel, and online permitting/inspection portals
- Comfort using AI tools in a professional workflow
- Strong written and verbal communication
Preferred
- Experience with luxury/high-end residential or custom homes
- Knowledge of South Florida building codes and HVHZ requirements
- Familiarity with the Palm Beach / Boca Raton market and local permitting jurisdictions
Compensation & Benefits
Salary commensurate with experience, plus benefits. The more you bring to the table, the more we'll pay for
it — we're looking for the right person, not the cheapest one.
