Compensation:
The anticipated salary range is $80k - $110k. Final compensation offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on a number of factors, including but not limited to the relevant skills, experience, qualifications, geographic location and all applicable legal considerations. This role is also eligible for a discretionary annual performance incentive, which is based on individual and company performance, and company benefits, which will be provided if candidate receives an offer of employment.

OnScent has an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated Inside Sales Executive to join our Sales Team. This is primarily an inside sales role focused on fragrance creation and cosmetic ingredients, where you will manage the day-to-day needs of smaller and developing accounts—including product, pricing, and scent design requests—while supporting their growth into larger partnerships.
This position is designed for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and eager to build relationships—combining both administrative responsibilities and hands-on sales activities. Most of your work will be conducted through phone, video calls, email, and CRM management, with occasional client visits (about 10% travel) to build stronger relationships.
This position is required to be on site at our Creative Center in Hackensack, NJ.

Manage and grow smaller, developing house accounts by responding to product, pricing, scent design, and information requests.

Proactively follow up on leads, guiding opportunities from inception to close with a consultative but detail-oriented approach.

Maintain and update your account pipeline in Salesforce, ensuring all interactions, data, and opportunity sizes are accurately documented.

Prioritize leads from sample requests, industry events, digital sales, and proactive outreach (calls, video meetings, email).

Provide accurate pricing and communicate changes to customers.

Collaborate with Technical, Perfumery, Regulatory, and Quality teams to provide customers with tailored product recommendations.

Resolve customer complaints quickly and professionally, ensuring satisfaction while staying within company guidelines.

Handle the administrative side of your own accounts—including documentation, CRM updates, and preparation of client-facing materials.

Conduct occasional on-site visits with clients to strengthen relationships and support growth opportunities.

Share feedback and observations that may help refine our approach to customer growth.

Perform additional duties as assigned to support account objectives.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent work experience.

3+ years’ experience in inside sales, sales support, or account management; experience in fragrance, beauty, cosmetic ingredients, or product development is strongly appreciated.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple accounts with attention to detail.

Strong organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills.

Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) and CRM systems such as Salesforce, Salesloft, and NetSuite.

Experience in entrepreneurial or middle-market environments a plus.

Ability to travel occasionally (about 10% of the time).
