Summary
The Food Packer is responsible for preparing, portioning, packing and supporting daily kitchen production. This role plays a key part in maintaining the quality, consistency, and efficiency of our wholesale business. The role involves packing products appropriately, ensuring food safety, and following strict quality guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Carefully pack and portion food products into designated containers or packaging materials according to company standards
- Inspect products for quality, freshness, and proper labeling before packing
- Ensure that all packaging is sealed securely and accurately labeled
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the packing area to meet safety and sanitation standards
- Follow safety procedures and use personal protective equipment as required
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals and deadlines
Qualifications
- Food Handler Certification required
- Previous kitchen or food production experience preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions precisely
- Team-oriented with a positive attitude
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working in a kitchen environment (heat, sharp tools, etc.)
Schedule & Availability
- Flexible schedule required, including early mornings, weekends and holidays as needed
Compensation
$19/hr
