Job Summary
We are seeking a experienced Per Diem MRI Technologist in the Vero Beach area ( we have other areas South of Vero if you are willing to travel ) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans to assist in the diagnostic evaluation of patients. This role requires a strong understanding of MRI imaging techniques, anatomy, and physiology, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.
We do not do contrast in this facility so no injections will be required
Responsibilities
- Perform MRI scans on patients following established protocols and safety guidelines.
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process and answering any questions.
- Ensure the correct positioning of patients to obtain optimal images while maintaining their comfort and safety.
- Utilize aseptic techniques to prevent infection and ensure a sterile environment during procedures.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to discuss imaging results and assist in diagnostic evaluations.
- Maintain accurate records of patient information, scan results, and equipment usage.
- Stay updated on advancements in MRI technology and medical imaging practices.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations regarding the use of MRI equipment.
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited MRI technologist program or equivalent education in medical imaging.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Proficiency in performing diagnostic evaluations using MRI technology.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare team members.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Certification from a recognized professional organization (e.g., ARRT) is preferred.
