Job Summary
The Accounting & Operations Manager is responsible for the day-to-day financial administration and operational management of Cal North. This position oversees accounting functions, budgeting support, human resources administration, payroll coordination, office operations, vendor management, and organizational reporting while supporting all ten Cal North work areas.
The Accounting & Operations Manager serves as a trusted advisor to the Executive Director by ensuring sound financial practices, efficient business operations, and effective administrative support across the Association.
Duties
Financial Management
- Prepare monthly financial statements.
- Maintain the Association's general ledger.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Coordinate payroll and employee benefits.
- Monitor cash flow and banking relationships.
- Assist with annual audits and tax filings.
- Support investment and reserve reporting.
Budget Administration
- Assist with annual budget development.
- Monitor departmental spending.
- Produce monthly budget variance reports.
- Support forecasting and long-term financial planning.
- Recommend operational efficiencies.
Human Resources
- Coordinate employee onboarding and offboarding.
- Maintain personnel records.
- Administer employee benefits.
- Support recruitment activities.
- Coordinate performance review administration.
- Maintain employee handbook and HR policies.
Office Operations
- Oversee office administration.
- Manage vendor contracts and purchasing.
- Coordinate technology and equipment.
- Maintain office facilities.
- Support organizational logistics.
Board & Executive Support
- Prepare Board financial reports.
- Support committee meetings.
- Maintain organizational records.
- Assist with Annual General Meeting logistics.
- Support governance documentation.
Organizational Reporting
- Develop dashboards and operational reports.
- Monitor organizational performance metrics.
- Support grant reporting.
- Prepare reports for the Executive Director and Board.
Requirements
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum five years of accounting or financial management experience.
- Strong knowledge of nonprofit accounting principles.
- Experience managing budgets and financial reporting.
- Knowledge of payroll and HR administration.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Experience in soccer accounting and operations
Preferred
- CPA or equivalent certification.
- Experience with nonprofit organizations.
- Experience in youth sports administration.
- HR certification (SHRM or PHR).
- Knowledge of QuickBooks or similar accounting systems.

Pay: $71,000.00 - $79,000.00 per year
