Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Class A or Class B CDL Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting construction material to various destinations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage time effectively while adhering to delivery schedules.
Duties
- Operate and drive a dump truck.
- Ensure the safe loading and unloading of freight, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes traveled, and deliveries made.
- Follow all local, state, and federal regulations regarding commercial driving.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transit.
- Handle freight with care to prevent damage during transport.
- Utilize manual transmission when required for specific vehicles.
Skills
- Proven experience in truck driving with a valid Class A or Class B commercial driver’s license (CDL).
- Familiarity with operating a dump truck.
- Strong knowledge of delivery driver responsibilities and freight handling procedures.
- Ability to load and unload cargo safely and efficiently.
- Excellent navigation skills with a good understanding of local roadways.
- Strong attention to detail for vehicle inspections and log maintenance.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
Experience:
- CDL driving: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- Class A or Class B CDL (Required)
- Health/Medical Card Required for CDL Drivers (Required)
