Per Diem Substitute Teacher

$125.00 per day the first year worked

After 100 days worked within 1 school year, increase pay based on the below salary schedule

Maximum pay is $150 per day which can be reached as early as the 4th year worked

Start each school year earning the last earned rate of pay

Job Summary:
- Provide support to the educational process with specific focus on instructional and mentoring practices. This includes maintaining a positive learning environment, where all students are encouraged to participate, ask questions and generally receive the individual attention they deserve to effectively learn the material in a lesson plan.
Responsibilities:

Manage student learning in accordance with the goals of the District.
-
Implement lesson plans, while ensuring the integrity of academic time and in a manner which motivates students to learn and participate.

Organize students for effective instruction.

Ensure the adequate supervision to assure health, welfare, and safety of all students.
-
Maintain and respect confidentiality of student and school personnel information.
-
Comply with and support school and District regulations and policies.
-
Must be able to follow oral and written directions and have the ability to establish effective working relationships with staff and students.

Ability to maintain effective classroom management strategies.
-
Report all student injuries, accidents, illnesses, and discipline problems to the appropriate authority immediately or as soon as is reasonably possible.

Perform all other related duties as assigned by building administrator(s) in accordance with District policies and practices.
Qualifications:
-
Experience:
- 3 years of relevant experience preferred.

Education:
- Completed at least two years of higher education (minimum 60 college credits) or
-
Hold an Associate degree or
-
Hold a Bachelor’s degree (in any major!)
