Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Finance Manager to lead our financial operations and strategic planning efforts. This pivotal role involves overseeing accounting functions, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and driving financial growth through insightful analysis and effective management. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in financial management, industry knowledge of financial regulations, and proven leadership skills to steer our financial team toward success.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of financial accounting, including general ledger reconciliation, accounts payable and receivable, and cost control measures.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive financial projection models to support strategic planning and decision-making processes.
- Oversee regulatory reporting requirements, ensuring adherence to IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards), GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), and industry-specific regulations such as ASC 606 for revenue recognition.
- Conduct risk analysis and implement risk management strategies to safeguard organizational assets.
- Lead treasury management activities including cash flow analysis, investment management, and fiscal management to optimize liquidity.
- Prepare detailed financial reports, interpret financial statements, and communicate insights clearly to stakeholders for informed decision-making.
- Supervise the finance team, fostering professional development while ensuring accurate bookkeeping and compliance with governmental accounting standards.
Experience
- Extensive experience in financial management or finance directorship within non-profit or governmental sectors is required.
- Proven expertise in corporate accounting, cost accounting, and industry knowledge of financial regulations such as IAS (International Accounting Standards) and IFRS.
- Demonstrated ability in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and developing financial models using data analytics tools.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing finance teams and executing strategic initiatives.
- Proficiency with accounting systems, Excel data analysis, financial software, and technical accounting concepts such as accrual accounting.
- Familiarity with risk analysis, compliance management, revenue management under ASC 606 standards, and general ledger reconciliation is essential.
