We are seeking a full-time Local Class A CDL Delivery Driver In the Windsor, CT area.
Monday – Friday: 5:00 AM – 3:00 PM.
Hourly rate - $29.50
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Puts delivery orders together ensuring complete accuracy, wraps pallets, loads truck, and secures load where necessary utilizing Load Bars and/or Load Straps. Doors are closed and secured while the vehicle is being operated.
· Unloads truck and places stock where or as near to customers’ requests without stocking their shelves, utilizing Power Pallet Jack, Hand Truck, or by hand where necessary.
· Check stock to invoice with customers and obtains customers signature and printed names on receipts for pickup or delivery.
· Collects payments from customers and records transactions on customer receipts as needed
· Records delivery information on the daily delivery records.
· Cleans the inside of the truck. Performs routine maintenance on the truck, power jack, and hand truck.
· Upon return, the driver reports to the Supervisor to receive assigned duties and cleaning responsibilities.
· Follow Omnitracs routing and get signatures on the Tablet.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
· 1-2 years' professional commercial driving experience and/or training (preferred)
· Electric jack & electric liftgate experience required.
· High school diploma or general education diploma (GED)
· Valid and current Class A Driver’s License required.
