We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Commissioning Engineer to lead and support commissioning activities across mission-critical facilities, including data centers, central plants, and complex MEP systems. This role is responsible for ensuring systems are designed, installed, tested, and operate in accordance with project requirements and owner expectations.
The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise in mechanical and/or electrical systems, hands-on field experience, and the ability to manage commissioning processes from design review through final turnover.

Key Responsibilities
Construction Phase
Conduct site inspections to verify installation against design and specifications
Develop and manage pre-functional checklists (PFCs) Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and stakeholders on readiness
Track commissioning issues through logs and ensure resolution Witness factory acceptance tests (FATs) and site acceptance tests (SATs)

Functional Testing Phase
Develop and execute functional performance test (FPT) scripts
Lead integrated systems testing (IST) for mission-critical systems
Validate sequences of operation for:
HVAC systems (CRAHs, AHUs, chillers, cooling towers)
Electrical systems (UPS, generators, ATS, switchgear)
Building automation systems (BAS/SCADA)
Troubleshoot system deficiencies and coordinate corrective actions
Verify system redundancy, failover, and alarm responses

Compile commissioning documentation and turnover packages
Verify completion of all commissioning activities Support training for operations staff
Deliver final commissioning reports and system manuals

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Commissioning tech roles with very little experience 0-3 years
Commissioning engineer 4+ years of commissioning, construction, or MEP engineering experience
Strong understanding of:
HVAC systems and controls
Electrical distribution systems
BAS / SCADA systems
Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
Ability to develop and execute test scripts and commissioning documentation
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and coordination abilities
