LGC St. Louis is looking for courteous, professional, and detail-oriented Banquet Servers to join our team! Banquet Servers are responsible for greeting, assisting, and serving guests at special events and functions. This position plays a key role in ensuring guests have an exceptional experience by providing outstanding service, assisting with event setup and breakdown, and maintaining a clean, organized event space.
Responsibilities:
- Greet guests as they arrive and assist them in finding their seats.
- Ensure guest comfort by answering questions, taking orders, and conveying special requests to the kitchen or bar.
- Serve food and beverages promptly and professionally.
- Circulate throughout the event with trays of appetizers, beverages, or desserts.
- Assist with event setup and cleanup, including arranging tables, chairs, tablecloths, utensils, decorations, and buffets.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the event space throughout service.
- Direct guests to facilities and event areas as needed.
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure smooth event flow and guest satisfaction.
- Follow all safety, sanitation, and quality control standards.
- Respond courteously and professionally to guest questions, concerns, and requests.
Requirements:
- Previous banquet, restaurant, or catering service experience preferred (training available).
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a positive, professional attitude.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Reliable transportation to and from event venues.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.
