Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Concrete Worker to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to concrete installation, finishing, and related construction activities. Your expertise will contribute to building durable, high-quality multi-family housing. Duties
- Prepare and set up forms, frameworks, and molds for concrete pouring using blueprint reading and schematics.
- Operate concrete mixers, pumps, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and efficiently on construction sites.
- Install rebar (reinforcing steel bars) to strengthen concrete structures according to specifications.
- Perform concrete finishing tasks such as smoothing, leveling, and sealing surfaces to achieve a high-quality finish.
- Execute related masonry work including stucco, plastering, tile laying, and flooring installation as needed.
- Assist with demolition, restoration, or renovation projects by applying carpentry, framing, or metal stud framing skills.
- Use hand tools and power tools for cutting, shaping, and installing materials with precision.
- Read blueprints and schematics accurately to ensure all work aligns with project plans and safety standards.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion while maintaining safety protocols.
Requirements
- Proven experience working on construction sites with a focus on concrete-related tasks; prior experience in masonry or restoration is a plus.
- Mechanical knowledge of tools, heavy equipment operation, and construction machinery including concrete mixers and pumps.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the workday.
- Strong understanding of blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings relevant to concrete work.
- Knowledge of rebar installation, form building, concrete finishing techniques, and related trades such as carpentry or roofing is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with safety procedures on construction sites and adherence to OSHA standards.
- Valid driver’s license with commercial driving certification preferred for site mobility; ability to operate heavy equipment required.
- Excellent teamwork skills combined with a proactive attitude towards problem-solving in fast-paced environments. Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
