Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (Psych APRN) – Part-time
Position Summary
Healing Hands Addiction Centers, a premier residential and outpatient addiction treatment Company, is seeking a Part-Time consulting Psychiatric Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (Psych APRN) to provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, medication management, and ongoing treatment for individuals receiving care in an addiction treatment center and outpatient behavioral health setting. The Psych APRN collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to support patients with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions, ensuring high-quality, evidence-based, and patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments.
- Prescribe, monitor, and adjust psychiatric medications, including medications for addiction treatment (MAT), as appropriate.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the clinical team.
- Monitor patient progress and provide ongoing medication management and follow-up care.
- Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, counselors, nursing staff, and case managers to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
- Participate in case conferences, treatment planning, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and organizational regulations and standards of practice.
Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted APRN license in the state of practice.
- Board certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC).
- DEA registration and eligibility to prescribe controlled substances.
- Experience treating individuals with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions preferred.
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Experience with medication-assisted treatment (MAT) is preferred.
