Kudzu Staffing Is Hiring Structural Welder/Fabricator! Pay is $26-$32/hr, depending on experience. An interview and weld test will be required.
Position Overview:
The Structural Welders Fabricators are responsible for fabricating and assembling steel components for modular and prefabricated building projects. This role requires expertise in welding techniques, a commitment to safety, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Key Responsibilities of a Structural Welder/Fabricator:
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine welding requirements.
- Perform MIG, Flux Core, and stick welding on structural steel components.
- Inspect welds for quality and compliance with company and industry standards.
- Operate welding equipment and tools safely and efficiently.
- Collaborate with fabrication and assembly teams to ensure project deadlines are met.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols.
- Assist in the installation and assembly of prefabricated structures as needed.
- Document work performed and report any issues or defects to supervisors.

Qualifications of a Structural Welder/Fabricator:
- Technical certification in welding preferred.
- Four years of proven expertise in structural welding and fabrication of stainless steel and iron components, with strong proficiency in performing high‑quality welds in overhead and vertical positions.
- Proficiency in MIG, Flux Core, and stick welding techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Ability to read welding symbols.
- Knowledge of safety standards and OSHA regulations.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Ability to ask for help and take direction from leadership.
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials and work in various positions.
Work Environment:
Work is performed in a non-climate controlled fabrication shop and on job sites. The role may require overtime .
Pay: $26.00 - $32.00 per hour
