Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly, taking orders accurately and efficiently using theToast POS system.
- Handle cash, credit card transactions, and retail sales with precision, ensuring proper cash handling and math accuracy.
- Prepare food items according to safety standards, including basic food preparation and food handling procedures.
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales through effective suggestive selling techniques.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, including bussing tables and ensuring food safety compliance.
- Assist in food service operations during busy hours, supporting kitchen staff with food prep or serving as needed.
- Manage time effectively to ensure prompt service delivery while balancing multiple responsibilities in a quick service or fast-food environment.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or quick service restaurants is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast POS enhances efficiency in processing transactions.
- Culinary experience or background in the food industry is a plus for understanding food safety management and sanitation standards.
- Retail sales transactions experience, including grocery store or café work, supports strong customer service skills.
- Demonstrated ability to handle cash accurately, perform basic math calculations, and manage retail math confidently.
- Experience with food handling, serving, bussing tables, or working in a restaurant environment helps ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
- Strong time management skills combined with excellent customer service abilities are essential for success in this energetic role.
