Position Summary
DRS Transportation LLC is seeking a dependable and safety-focused CDL Class A OTR Driver to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is professional, reliable, and committed to delivering freight safely and on time while maintaining compliance with all DOT and FMCSA regulations.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class A tractor-trailer in accordance with all DOT and FMCSA regulations.
- Transport freight throughout the continental United States.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections.
- Secure and inspect freight to ensure safe transport.
- Maintain accurate electronic logs (ELD) and all required paperwork.
- Communicate load status, delays, and equipment issues with dispatch.
- Practice safe and fuel-efficient driving techniques.
- Keep assigned equipment clean and report maintenance needs promptly.
- Deliver exceptional customer service at shippers and receivers.
- Comply with all company policies, safety procedures, and customer requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL.
- At least 2 years of verifiable OTR tractor-trailer driving experience preferred.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
- Current DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate.
- Ability to pass DOT drug and alcohol screening and background check.
- Strong understanding of Hours of Service (HOS) regulations.
- Ability to operate ELD systems and mobile communication devices.
- Professional appearance and excellent communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Flatbed, dry van, reefer, or power-only experience.
- TWIC card (preferred but not required).
- Experience using ELD platforms such as Motive or Samsara.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds when necessary.
- Ability to climb in and out of the tractor and trailer multiple times daily.
- Ability to perform required pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
- Ability to sit and drive for extended periods.
