Front Desk Associate / Night Auditor
Lodging One Hospitality, a leader in hotel development, ownership, management, and consulting, is hiring Front Desk Associates / Night Auditors for the new Hampton Inn by Hilton Manhattan Aggieville.
Full-time and part-time positions are available. This position is FLSA Non-Exempt and does not include employee supervision or operational oversight responsibilities.
About the Position
As a Front Desk Associate / Night Auditor, you will play an essential role in creating a welcoming and positive experience for every guest. You will manage the guest registration process, communicate hotel services and amenities, and provide exceptional service while going the extra mile to exceed guest expectations.
This is a primarily customer-facing position with a direct impact on the guest experience from arrival and registration through departure. Front Desk Associates are often the first—and sometimes only—point of contact for questions regarding hotel services, policies, amenities, and the property. We expect every guest interaction to be professional, positive, helpful, and sincere.
The Night Auditor is also responsible for completing the hotel's daily business close, balancing financial accounts, reconciling daily transactions, and preparing financial reports for management. This role requires strong attention to detail, accuracy, organization, and sound judgment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service to all internal and external guests and customers.
- Welcome guests warmly and establish a friendly, professional rapport.
- Manage guest registration and check-in/check-out processes accurately and efficiently.
- Address guest questions, concerns, and complaints in a timely, professional, and helpful manner.
- Communicate hotel facilities, services, amenities, policies, and promotions to guests.
- Answer questions and provide information regarding local attractions, facilities, restaurants, and points of interest.
- Coordinate with other departments to fulfill special guest requests and ensure a seamless guest experience.
- Maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data.
- Administer hotel guest payment policies and accurately handle shift cash transactions.
- Complete the hotel's daily business close, reconcile accounts, and balance financial transactions.
- Prepare daily financial reports and other documentation for management.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records and transactions.
- Read, maintain, and update the Front Desk Communication Log daily.
- Notify Housekeeping and Maintenance of reported issues with guest rooms, public areas, or hotel grounds.
- Know and follow all company and hotel policies, procedures, and emergency protocols.
- Prioritize, organize, and follow up on assigned responsibilities.
- Perform all job functions with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, and professionalism.
- Remain calm under pressure and use sound judgment when resolving problems.
- Work cooperatively and maintain positive relationships with co-workers and other departments.
- Maintain a professional appearance and welcoming attitude.
- Perform other duties as assigned or needed.
