ICS Security is now hiring Armed Security Officers in the Baltimore City, MD area. We’re looking for dependable, professional, and hardworking individuals who want to help make their communities safer.
We have immediate openings for armed security guard positions at retail and commercial locations throughout the city.
New 2025 State Requirement
Effective January 1, 2025, all applicants without a Maryland Security Guard Certification must complete the MPCTC state-mandated 12-hour Security Guard Course before starting employment.
If selected, you may take this required course onsite at our ICS Security office — full details will be provided during your interview.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct patrols and scan tours throughout assigned sites
- Maintain a visible security presence to deter theft, vandalism, and loitering
- Write and submit clear daily activity and incident reports
- Observe and report any suspicious activity to supervisors or clients
- Provide excellent customer service and ensure the safety of the property and community
Minimum Qualifications
- 1–2 years of experience preferred, but entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply
- Reliable transportation to and from the work site
- Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English
For Armed Security Guard Positions:
- Active Maryland Guard Card (out-of-state cards not accepted)
- Valid Wear & Carry Permit (non-expired) with 50 round qualification
- Personal firearm, Grade 3 ballistic vest, and Level 2 or Level 3 holster
- Valid, non-expired state-issued ID
Preferred (Not Required):
- Valid driver’s license — mobile patrol positions are available
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods
- May involve stair climbing, vehicle patrols, and other physically demanding activities
- Must be able to complete written reports and communicate effectively with team members and clients

Pay: $17.75 - $23.00 per hour
