Machine Operator - Contract to Hire, Hiring Now
The Machine Operator position is available in Billerica, MA. This company is known for its organized and temperature-controlled facility, which specializes in CNC machining with a focus on stainless steel materials.
Shift of the Machine Operator:
Mon-Thurs 6:00am-4:30pm (optional Fridays when available)
Pay Rate of the Machine Operator:
$21-$28 - Based on experience
Responsibilities of the Machine Operator:
- Responsible for daily production of CNC machines by means of loading/unloading CNC machines, part inspection, and troubleshooting.
- Read and interpret blueprints & drawings.
- Knowledge of basic measuring tools (i.e., micrometers, calipers, indicators & gauges).
- Report quality concerns or machine errors to management.
- Maintain quality and safety standards.
Qualifications of the Machine Operator:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 2+ years’ Mill / Lathe experience required.
- Basic knowledge of machining skills.
- Must be able to use various inspection tooling such as verniers, micrometers, drop indicators, etc.
- The ability to work with minimal supervision and familiarity with machining concepts, practices, and procedures.
- The ability to work with others and a good work ethic, required.
- Candidate must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis, required.
