About the Role
We're hiring an experienced, customer focused Systems Support Engineer to deliver exceptional technical support to our managed IT clients. This is a hands on position responsible for supporting end user computing environments, deploying new hardware, troubleshooting business applications, and serving as an onsite technical resource during client projects.
The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently, enjoys interacting with clients, and can confidently manage a variety of desktop, server, and Microsoft 365 support tasks. You'll work closely with our infrastructure engineering team, providing both remote support and onsite assistance while helping ensure our clients receive an outstanding support experience.

What You'll Do
- Provide remote and onsite technical support for Windows desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripheral equipment.
- Deploy, configure, and upgrade Windows workstations, monitors, printers, docking stations, and related hardware.
- Troubleshoot Microsoft 365, Microsoft Office, Outlook, Teams, and other business applications.
- Perform user account administration, password resets, and Active Directory management.
- Configure and troubleshoot printers, scanners, and other end user technologies.
- Assist with workstation imaging, hardware lifecycle management, and new employee onboarding.
- Perform desktop operating system upgrades, hardware replacements, and application installations.
- Support basic Windows Server administration and assist with infrastructure maintenance activities.
- Serve as onsite technical support for server, network, cloud, and security engineers during projects and maintenance windows.
- Rack, cable, install, and replace networking and server equipment under engineering guidance.
- Create and maintain accurate technical documentation and client records.
- Participate in client onboarding projects and office technology deployments.
- Participate in an on call support rotation and occasional after hours maintenance activities.
- Deliver outstanding customer service while maintaining professionalism in every client interaction.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience supporting Windows desktop environments in an MSP or IT services organization.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, business applications, and end user hardware.
- Experience with Active Directory, Microsoft 365 administration, and Windows Server fundamentals.
- Ability to install, configure, and troubleshoot desktop hardware, printers, and mobile devices.
- Comfortable working both remotely and onsite at client locations throughout Eastern Iowa.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple support requests.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A self motivated problem solver who takes ownership of issues from beginning to resolution.
- Experience with PSA, RMM, documentation, and monitoring platforms such as ServiceDesk Plus, Zabbix, BookStack, or similar solutions is a plus.
- Basic networking knowledge including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, wireless networking, and VPN connectivity.
- PowerShell experience is a plus.
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
