Responsibilities
- Safely handle and restrain animals using proper techniques to ensure their comfort and safety
- Feed, water, and monitor pets according to their individual care plans
- Maintain cleanliness of kennels, bedding, and common areas to promote health and hygiene
- Observe pets for signs of illness or distress and report any concerns promptly
- Assist with pet grooming, including bathing, brushing, and basic hygiene tasks
- Support dog training activities and reinforce positive behaviors when appropriate
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about their pets’ well-being and needs
Qualifications
- Prior experience with animal handling, kennel work, or pet sitting is highly preferred
- Knowledge of dog training techniques and veterinary procedures is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary to move supplies or assist with animals
- Strong animal restraint skills and familiarity with animal care best practices
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly, professional attitude
