What You’ll Do
- Provide perioperative nursing care in a busy OR specializing in robotics, neuro, transplant, and general surgeries
- Circulate during a variety of complex cases; scrub experience preferred but not required
- Ensure patient safety and support the surgical team throughout procedures
- Adhere to infection control, safety, and compliance standards
- Assist with unit support including anesthesia, RT, and support staff as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation within Meditech Expanse EMR system
- Comply with hospital policies regarding call shifts, weekends, and holidays
What You Need
Required:
- Valid RN license in Louisiana
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Minimum 2 years of perioperative nursing experience, including robotic surgeries and neuro or transplant cases
- Experience with Meditech EMR preferred
- Ability to pass an EKG competency exam
Preferred:
- OR scrub and first assistant experience
- Neuro-spine, neuro-vascular, or transplant experience
- Cardio/thoracic surgery background
