Axian Technology is seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Setup Technician to join our growing manufacturing team. This position is responsible for setting up CNC lathes, producing high-quality precision-machined components, and ensuring efficient production while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.

Set up CNC lathes for production according to engineering drawings and work instructions.
Install and qualify tooling, fixtures, and workholding.
Load and verify CNC programs.
Perform first article inspections and make necessary machine offsets.
Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and process documentation.
Use precision measuring equipment, including micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and indicators.
Monitor production to ensure parts consistently meet quality requirements.
Troubleshoot machining and tooling issues to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.
Work closely with operators, programmers, and quality personnel to improve processes.
Maintain accurate setup documentation and complete required production records.
Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards.
Minimum of 3 years of CNC lathe setup experience.
Strong understanding of machining principles and cutting tools.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
Experience using precision measuring equipment.
Ability to troubleshoot machining issues and make process adjustments.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality parts.
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
Experience with Citizen Swiss-type lathes.
Experience with Doosan Puma mill turn machines.
Experience machining aerospace or defense components.
Knowledge of Fanuc controls.
Understanding of lean manufacturing principles.
