Summary/Objective
The Quality Coordinator will ensure customers are fully satisfied with Lake City Plating’s service through maintaining all aspects of the ISO 9001 Quality Management System. This position identifies and leads opportunities for continuous improvement using appropriate quality processes.
Essential Functions
Develop and maintain the company’s system for effectively and efficiently documenting, storing, analyzing, and utilizing the company’s quality and safety processes, data, and metrics.
- Develop and/or enhance current databases for customer complaints & corrective/preventative actions, internal & external rework, and quality metrics.
- Record, analyze, and distribute statistical information
- Set up and maintain controls and documentation procedures
- Assist in revising and maintaining calibration files, RMA data, PPAPs, revision level changes, etc.
- Ensure that documentation needs for ISO certification are met
Create documents, presentations, signs, and other communication tools to inform, educate, and guide employees about safety and quality expectations, policies, standards, and processes.
- Develop easy-to-comprehend, visually appealing materials
- Help design training materials
As Needed, Assist Quality Manager
- Understand the 5S principles and helps educate and support 5S training throughout both facilities
- Assist in the development of company's quality procedures, standards and specifications
- Determine training needs and assist in maintaining a database to capture
- Participate in continuous improvement activities
- Work with operating staff to establish procedures, standards, systems
- Investigate and set standards for quality/health and safety
- Function as a catalyst for positive change and improvement in performance/quality
- Review customer requirements and ensure that they are met
- Set standards for quality as well as health and safety
- Define quality procedures in conjunction with operating staff
Suggest improvements for quality, safety and efficiency

Work Environment
This job operates in an office and manufacturing environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. The performance of this position requires exposure to a typical manufacturing area that requires the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, appropriate closed-toe shoes, and other PPE as needed. The noise level is moderate.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and typical hours are primarily Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 4 pm.
Travel
Some travel may be expected for this position.
Required Education and Experience
College degree or equivalent experience
Excellent computer skills – Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Great interpersonal and communication skills – written and verbal
Comfortable working in a high-energy, results focused environment
Willingness to be hands on
Strong desire to learn
Preferred Experience and Education
College degree in one of the STEM areas
Experience in a manufacturing company, especially with quality and/or EHS
Statistical training
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
Ability to speak, read and write in Spanish a plus
