Overview
Harper Trucks is seeking a motivated, organized, and customer-focused Account Manager to join our commercial team. This position is designed as a long-term career opportunity for an individual who wants to develop into a sales leadership role within our organization.
The successful candidate will begin by supporting commercial operations through customer service, sales administration, marketing coordination, customer onboarding, and e-commerce initiatives while gaining a comprehensive understanding of Harper Trucks' products, customers, and business operations. As experience and proficiency grow, responsibilities will increasingly transition toward account management, business development, strategic customer relationships, and sales leadership.
This role works closely with the General Manager and Vice President of Sales while collaborating with customers, distributors, retailers, and internal departments to support continued growth across traditional sales channels and e-commerce platforms.
Essential Responsibilities
Customer Success & Business Development
- Serve as a professional point of contact for customers and prospective customers.
- Coordinate the onboarding process for new customers, distributors, and retail partners.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships through responsive communication and follow-up.
- Support customer account management and identify opportunities to grow existing business.
- Assist with business development initiatives and strategic sales opportunities.
Sales & Commercial Operations
- Prepare quotations, presentations, reports, and sales materials.
- Maintain customer records, pricing, and commercial documentation.
- Assist with sales reporting, forecasting, and commercial analysis.
- Coordinate cross-functional projects between Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Customer Service.
- Support the General Manager and Vice President of Sales on key commercial initiatives.
E-Commerce & Marketing
- Support the company's e-commerce strategy across key online retail channels.
- Coordinate product content, digital assets, and online merchandising initiatives.
- Assist with new product launches, promotional campaigns, trade shows, and marketing materials.
- Work with internal teams and external partners to improve online product visibility and customer engagement.
- Coordinate trade show activities, sales collateral, and promotional materials.
Office Operations
- Help maintain an organized, professional office environment.
- Support day-to-day administrative and commercial operations.
- Take ownership of special projects and continually look for ways to improve business processes.

Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent professional experience.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong organizational, project management, and time management abilities.
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn, grow, and take on increasing responsibility.
- Professional demeanor with the ability to build relationships with customers, distributors, retailers, and internal teams.
Preferred
- Experience working with ERP and CRM systems.
- Experience supporting or managing e-commerce platforms such as Amazon Vendor Central, Walmart Marketplace, or other online retail channels.
- Marketing coordination or product launch experience.
- Experience analyzing sales reports, customer trends, and market opportunities.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for customer visits, trade shows, and industry events.
