Overview
As a Barista/Cashier, you'll be one of the first people our guests interact with. You'll prepare beverages, provide exceptional customer service, maintain a clean and organized cafe, and help introduce guests to everything Cold Summer has to offer, including our wellness studio.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships with customers, works well under pressure, pays attention to detail, and wants to be part of a growing local business.
Responsibilities
- Welcome every guest with a warm, friendly, and professional attitude.
- Take customer orders accurately using our POS system.
- Prepare coffee, matcha, smoothies, teas, and acai bowls according to Cold Summer recipes and quality standards.
- Maintain consistency, presentation, and speed while preparing menu items
- Educate guests about our menu, wellness studio, and upcoming events.
- Confidently recommend products and encourage guests to experience the wellness studio.
- Process cash and card transactions accurately.
- Open and close the register, count till, and ensure accurate cash handling procedures are followed.
- Complete opening and closing cafe duties.
- Restock ingredients, merchandise, cups, lids, syrups, and supplies throughout the day.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cafe, equipment, and workstations.
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times.
- Work efficiently during busy periods while maintaining a positive attitude and excellent customer service.
- Support teammates and contribute to a collaborative work environment.
- Represent the Cold Summer brand with professionalism and enthusiasm.
Qualifications
- Previous barista experience preferred
- Experience in hospitality, food service, or customer service is a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Friendly, positive, and outgoing personality
- Strong multitasking and organizational skills
- Comfortable working in a fast paced environment
- Dependable, punctual, and self motivated
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Food Handler Card
